Wanweird

Definition: Ill or unhappy fate; misfortune.

Pronunciation: Exactly as it looks! (Only keep in mind that the “a” in “wan” is stretched and resembles the onomatopoeic sound of jeering tears, like as it would sound from a bully who’s teasing someone who’s begun to sob: “WAAAH, waaaah! Why you cryin’, crybaby?”)

Origin: unadulterated, pure pedigreed Scottish vocabulary.

Why this word?

It’s just so… Weird.

I love it.

How do you use aanweird in a sentence?

Example: “You’ve met with a wanweird most terrible, haven’t you, sir?”
