Checkmate

The all-times favorite black-and-white game has a deeper meaning, if you know where its name comes from!

Checkmate is originally a Persian game and so is its name: the Arabic shah means ‘king’ while mat means to be left astonished, helpless. Which is the purpose of the game, right?
